Justice - Evil Lori Drew Indicted!
Yes! The Evil Lori Drew is indicted for the crimes against Megan Meier!
A sharp Los Angeles based Prosecutor leveraged the MySpace terms and conditions and was able to determine that the dastardly Lori Drew violated key sections. And since the MySpace servers are in Los Angeles, she must go there to face justice. How inconvenient eh Evil B**CH!
If the allegations stick, she faces five years on each of the four counts. We suspect there will be some prison time, a few years at the most. Certainly not enough to make up for her irresponsible behavior - but enough to make it known - she is a criminal.
We believe that anyone associated with her on this crime should also be included, which may mean her husband (what a lucky guy) and the young employee at her (now closed!) business, Ashley Grills. Of course, having Ms. Grills take the stand against the horrible Lori Drew should help toss her behind jail bars.
This won't bring back poor Megan - but will send a message to adults (and maybe minors) that cyber-bullying will not be tolerated. And from a "so called" responsible adult - it's a crime.

Lori Drew is being charged with accessing a protected computer to obtain information. This has nothing to do with cyber-bullying. If "protected" means nothing more than a usage agreement, then if this case is somehow successful, it will make it a Federal crime to access any publicly available web site to obtain any information if in using that information you violate the usage agreement of that web site. Once again this has nothing to do with cyber-bullying, yet if this case is successful many people may find they are comminuting a federal crime when posting to or even reading web sites. It all depends on what the web site’s usage agreement states.
Such a violation has been a civil matter in the past usually resulting in being banned from that web site, but in the future a federal prosecutor may be able to bring an indictment against anyone they decide has violated any such usage agreement. Think about that the next time you post any part of something that’s copyrighted. It could be a federal crime under this same law Lori Drew is being charged with. It won’t even be up to the copyright owner whether or not to bring charges.
If we want to punish cyber-bullying then there needs to be a specific and well defined law written just for that purpose. Trying to stretch the anti-hacking law to cover Lori Drew’s alleged actions could do far more harm than good. Once internet users understand the threat this prosecution poses to internet freedom I expect Lori Drew will get lots of help with her legal defense. Not because anyone supports cyber-bullying, but because a over zealous prosecutor is threatening the freedom of millions of internet users. Nonetheless, the result of this misguided prosecution is likely to be the vindication of Lori Drew. Think about that.

I am glad that you have had the tenacity to stick with this, and please keep us updated as to what the results of the indictment are. What those so called adults did was sick, wrong, and evil.
My prayers go out to the family of the child who was driven over the edge by a sick beotch. My prayers go out to all parents of teenagers living in such a world, and to the teenagers who have to face this and far worse things every day. I am the parent of two teenagers, and an angel in heaven, and can only begin to imagine the pain that has been caused.
People say it's "just the net". Just the net, my ass. Actions have consequences, even if the actions are 'only' words on a computer screen, they have the capability to do a great deal of damage and pain.

Okay here goes, I cannot believe this woman. Um, 600 pound walking beached whale with nothing better to do. Um, does her husband even do her? Damn, he owns a company I'm sure he could do better for himself. Oh, I forgot he was part of this also and wouldn't surprise me if he also is a DISGUSTING FAT BODY LIKE SHE IS!!!! How can you EVER apologize or repent from your actions? You got away with basically 2nd degree murder. Your actions caused a child that you knew was ill, commit suicide.
